Does It Matter At All
It had not rained
for a month or two
Oven was how it felt
Today, the sky opened
Like a miser though
Still, the relief
is welcome
Looking out the window
With a slight breeze,
teasing
And the quiet of the night,
save for the dying noise
of the day accompanying
I think back of
the days past
That life adds up to
Where have they gone?
What lies ahead
Questions both
immediate,
yet distant
Does it matter at all
Ignorance and bliss,
both
But a shadow of time
And nothingness??
Or not?
