My Heart Is Not At Rest
Pondering the
human condition
My heart is not at rest
Pondering the
frailty of the
human condition
My heart is not at rest
Are we no more than
a cow, a dog, a cat
a rodent or a fly?
Swatted like an insect
Crushed to death
by a thousand
and one things
Brought to the knees
by an invisble rogue
to the naked eye,
micro-micro pathogen
like sars-covid2
Is god such an utter,
incompetent failure?
Bar the excruciating
excuses made in its
behalf
Or is evolution
to blame
Or what?
Will there
be a time
when humanity
transcends all
The true
Lord and Master
of himself
And all that is,
is not,
and yet to be?
