Looking out the window, inhaling the sweet smell of ripening nangka (jackfruit) hanging from the tree, I'm transported back to the time of my life when, as a child, time did not matter
The past, the future, existed not
Only the now, the immediacy of the present
That, and what transpired in the present
A time when yesterday was not
And tomorrow was - but what happened in the moment next
Just the present existed
The sweet smell of ripening nangka
Oh thou!
The fruit of the present
The link to the past!
